Welcome to the Statistics and Computational Biology research group at the the Institute of Medical Informatics, Statistics, and Epidemology (IMISE) of the University of Leipzig.

We conduct research in applied statistics, with the following focus:

• Biostatistical applications:
  Analysis of genomic and proteomic data, spatial modeling, image analysis, network inference, systems biology.
• Statistical methods:
  High-dimensional inference, shrinkage approaches, regularization methods, model selection, false discovery rates, information theory, statistical geometry, machine learning.
